A celebration of one of modern dance’s great champions: Linda C. Smith, RDT’s Director Emerita and the leader behind RDT’s six remarkable decades. This concert launches RDT’s multi-year Honoring Linda C. Smith initiative, which will explore, document, and celebrate her transformative contributions to RDT, to the art form, and to Utah.
Repertory Dance Theatre hosts its annual teacher learning workshop in June. Passport to Dance History is a 3 day in person teacher learning workshop focused on the education of American Modern Dance History and ways to implement in the dance classroom. Inspired by Utah's State Core Standards for Fine Arts/Dance and the vast living library of Repertory Dance Theatre's choreographers works, this workshop is meant to bring the history of dance alive for students and teachers alike.
